I always liked illustrations with a lot of characters in happy scenes of life.
These scenes, recurrent in Carl Barks' paintings, but also in famous manga like Dragon Ball or One piece, inspired me to create some myself.
I guess like all comic book readers, we like some characters so much that they make us feel like family.
I think of these types of illustrations as vacation photos that you would look at in a memory book.
That's why I was inspired by my own family's characters to compose this illustration.
